  1. How many 1961 C1 corvettes were built in that year with a power glide transmission and two four barrels on the 283 cubic inch engine?

    1. According to the latest Corvette Black Book there were 1,458 61s with Powerglides. I’m not aware of any resource that could tell you how many of them may have come with 2 x 4s rather than the total number of cars that had 2 x 4s.

    2. Hi, Could someone please help me out . I have 1958 Panama Yellow Vette with the 283 with the automatic transmission. I cannot find the dipstick for the transmission fluid to check. It’s embarrassing to ask but if you can send a picture also. Really appreciated. Thankyou, Steve

  2. Your number of built for 53 is wrong. They built 301, they forgot the production manager in Flint was driving one. They shipped his corvette to St Louis to have the vin plate info put on the car, and thus the 301. My dad was sent from Central Office to Flint and then on to St Louis to build Corvette, and retired when it moved to bowling Green. I’ve heard and seen a lot about Corvette over all the years growing up, dad drove a different color home each day as a company car, great memories

    1. Unfortunately, this isn’t information that we have. Even the black book states that exterior and interior colors were not coded to individual cars in 1962.

  3. I have a ’59 corvette, blue with white cove hardtop. Born April 29,1959, how many of this color were made out of 9670. Thank you.
