C2 & C3 Corvette ride height guide

For your convenience, we have compiled a list of all available ride heights for 1964-1982 Corvettes, taken from their respective Assembly Instruction Manuals.

Notice that the measurements get simpler as the years progress. The early years are very thorough, including how various options will affect ride height. The later years? Not so much.

Measurements are curb measurements, meaning that oil, coolant and gas are at full capacities.

  1. I am interested in the same information for the front of my 75 coupe. Based on looking at the control arms, it would seem that the car sits too high in the front. The rear is not sagged that I can tell
Where on the front bumper do I measure for 16 and 3/4 in? Middle of the bumper going left to right and what part of the bumper from a vertical perspective. Sure would appreciate anyone’s answer. Thanks Morris

  2. Please provide more details on how to measure ride height on a 76. Specifically where on the bumpers are you measuring to?

      1. Please verify the front bumper height and where it is measured for a ’75 Coupe. The bottom of the rear bumper under the license plate is 14.625″ vs. the 15.14″ stated in the database, which is close. My front comes in at 11.625″ at the middle of the underside of the license/Corvette plate area. This is not even close to the stated 16.73″. Please advise, as I am considering adjusting my ride height.
