1963-1967 C2 Corvette Factory Paint Colors

One of the most common restoration tasks for Corvette owners worldwide is restoring or touching up their vehicle’s original paint. And while that’s not usually the most difficult of Corvette restoration tasks, one component could make or break the project: choosing the paint color.

Over just five years of production, GM delivered almost 25 original 1963-1967 C2 Corvette paint colors. So, if you’re looking to refresh the color of your car, your first step is ensuring that you pick the right one. Pick the wrong one, and you’ll end up with an unsatisfactory, abstract, two-toned paint job. It’s a key detail you don’t want to mess up. Pick the right one, and you’ll have a fresh new exterior, perfect for looking fantastic at a track or classic car show.

To help you out, we’ve provided the complete list of C2 Corvette paint colors and their corresponding OEM color codes. Use it as a resource to help you find your car’s original C2 Corvette color, based on the year it was manufactured.

    1. A 400 HP has 3, 2 barrel carburetors.

Just tap each one on the top with a plastic screwdriver handle.

      1. On a 3-2 setup, the middle carb is main crank/runs on crank-up and normal operation. The 2 outter, front & rear carbs, then open when throtel is increased in RPM. I’ve owned several 427 big block especially 1967’s with TriPower setup with Holly 2 bbls. carburation.

    2. Locate the gas line from fuel pump gas line fitting nut fits/screws into the carburator float bowl. While cranking the engine, rap that area with the plastic handle of a screwdriver until engine cranks/runs.

  2. Hello I have a 1966 corvette 427 conv . Its in its original silver pearl color with compete silver interior, even the mats and carpeting. My question is the removable hard top is the same color silver, BUT the headliner and plastic Mouldings of the top is a very dark navy blue, almost black. Is this a “normal color or an option color for headliner for a silver pearl C2 or should the headliner have been silver too??

    1. Normally we have them, but the ones we were getting have recently been discontinued. We hope to have a replacement in the near future.

  3. looking for info on hard top restoration for 1966 C-2. Parts available and how to videos. I have complete top to work with. Top is Red 974 car is white 936. Help if you can.
    Thanks, Tim
